Sure, the minigames mean a bit more than they did in MP9, but there are a large handful that I really don't like. Too many of the boards are way too short. First of all, the main flow of gameplay isn't very fun, not to mention re-used from Wii Party, made by the same developers (to my knowledge). IT: This one was a huge downgrade from the last ones. Now, it looks like they hit it to actually roll it like an actual die. Another pointless complaint: Before, it looked like the characters hit the Dice Block like a ? block in the main Mario games. I really don't like how the boss fights are competitions, many of them even based completely on luck. As for the minigames themselves, I wasn't too dissatisfied with them. You only get 4 more Mini Stars than whoever comes in dead last, which is less than you can usually get by passing through some on the board with a lucky roll. Some minigames were pretty creative, but a lot, especially Duel minigames, were verrrrrrrrry lazy. I don't know a huge amount of the board play. There wasn't a huge selection of minigames, and a lot of them took a long time to end. I caught a glimpse of the board play and it seemed OK (however not very fitting of the MP spirit).

Advance: Well, at least you don't necessarily need a friend around to play it. Also the graphics didn't really impress me. 4: While the board play looks very fun, I felt that a lot of the minigames were lazy. The clock with the 5 on it (the thing that makes the next turn 5 from the end, i don't know the name) was pretty OP. The board play didn't look quite as fun, though. A lot of the minigames looked really fun. Also simplified and set in stone the rules that would define Mario Party up until 9. Had some original minigames, and some revamped versions of MP1 games. It's kind of hard to tell how minigames work sometimes. Pretty good for a start, with pretty basic minigames, but nothing compared to others. I most remember MP games for minigames, and will have the most weight in my review. WARNING: I only have had first-hand experience with DS, no others.
